Christmas 2014 ♡ 2 Nail Tutorials: Christmas Tree and Random Holiday Nails

Hi there! So today I have another quick and super easy nail designs 🙂 I think they are pretty for the holiday season/Christmas and of course if you want to recreate them you don’t have to use the exact same things or type of rhinestones that I used – just go for whatever you would like 🙂
If you’d like to see how I did these nails you can watch the YouTube video or keep reading this post for step-by-step tutorial for both designs.

Okay so I will start with the Christmas tree inspired nails – nothing easier than this! 🙂

All you want to do is apply a white nail polish (or any other nail polish of you choice, but it will look better if it’s a lighter color) on all of your nails. Normally you would apply 1-2 coats and let your nails dry and then apply top coat on each nail at one time and do them, but I applied the rhinestones directly on the wet nail polish because it works just as well.

Sooo… rhinestones. I went for these green ones and I placed them in a triangle shape so that they would look like small, cute and messy Christmas trees. Yes, messy. I didn’t even bother to put them in place or make them look neat but I love love love how they look like this 🙂

On top of the small rhinestone tree I added a different rhinestone on each nail – you can do this or just use the same type of rhinestone, up to you 🙂
Apply top coat to make sure that your rhinestones stay in place and that’s all for this design!

I also tried to see if they would look nice with a red nail polish underneath but meh. I mean apart from the camera not focusing properly, red may be great color for Christmas but apparently it didn’t look so perfect with the green rhinestones.

So let’s move on to the second design 😀

This is random and I don’t know what to call it. It also is easy as heck – basically all you have to do is know how to handle a pair of tweezers.
So I used a very sparkly and light silver nail polish as a base. As I did with the other design, I applied the rhinestones straight on the wet nail polish, didn’t bother to wait for it to try and then apply top coat – I just felt like filming, not like waiting hehe. I applied this nail polish only on the pinky, middle and index nails
And this is why I said that this design is random: no nail looks like the other. I went all crazy with the rhinestones and used a different shape/color on each nail.
So on the pinky nail I used some blue flower shaped rhinestones, which I find really pretty and probably are my favorite out of the entire set.
On the middle I used light blue tiny stars and on the index some red rhinestones which I don’t know what’s up with them or why did I go for them in the first place, right now I am not sure if I like how they looked or not.
Okay so if you’ve been paying attention to what I was writing then you probably are thinking “okay, we can see what rhinestones you used, but the ring and thumb are still bare”. I don’t know why I just wrote that, lmao. Anyway, I wanted the ring and the thumb nails to be red.

On the ring nail I applied some tiny moon-shaped rhinestones which because they are very tiny and my camera fails at focusing you can’t really tell what’s going on, ughh.
And on the thumb I applied a few washed out yellow tiny hearts, because.. who doesn’t heart Christmas? Except for our pockets/cards of course, haha.
Lastly apply a top coat to make sure that the design is set in place and that’s it!
