Hello beauties, today I have a classic Christmas glam makeup tutorial 🙂 I know there’s lots of them around, but this is my take on it! I will try to put it down in simple steps, so I hope you enjoy ♡
Step 1: Prime and/or moisturize your skin for a better foundation application. I really like the Porefessional from Benefit’s Party Like a Rockstar Christmas gift set.
Step 2: Apply your favorite foundation and concealer. I used the L’oreal Infallible 24-HR Matte Foundation (hands down the best I’ve tried so far) and an old love of mine, the Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer.
Step 3: Set everything down with a powder. I like using the Anti Shine powder from the Makeup Revolution Protection palette under my eyes and on the center of my face, then set everything else with the Maybelline Fit Me powder. Or just go ahead and apply the Anti Shine one all over my face to stay matte and flawless.
Step 4: Bronze and contour for a more defined and slimmer bone structure (and better selfies, if you ask me!)
Step 5: Add some color back to your cheeks by dusting some blush on top.
Step 6: What would a Christmas glam makeup look be without a nice highlighter added on the highest points of your face? 🙂
Step 7: Don’t forget about them brows! Mine are quite over plucked and messed up, so I use both an eyebrow pencil and brow powder. Optional, use a brow wax, gel or mascara to set them in place.
Step 8: Prime your eyes in order to make your eyeshadow last longer and look brighter.
Step 9: Lightly add a bronze color in your crease. It can be matte or shimmery, up to your personal preference. The eyeshadow I used was shimmery, but I feel like I could get away with it as it wasn’t excessively sparkly.
Step 10: Just like a Christmas glam makeup wouldn’t be complete without a nice highlighter, it also wouldn’t be complete if you don’t add a golden eyeshadow! Let’s be honest, we all love glittery gold shadows this time of the year 🙂 Apply it on your lid, the inner corner and on the inner third of the lower lash line.
Step 11: Make your crease and outer corners look deeper by adding a darker brown/bronze shadow. Apply this color on the outer 2/3 of the lower lash line as well.
Step 12: Line your eyes! I always go for a wing and also use a black pencil in my tight/water line. Black is what I love using, but of course you can use a white or skin-tone liner to make your eyes appear bigger. Or you can even go for a gold eyeliner if you wanna be extra glam!
Step 13: Mascara (and falsies, if you want)!. I like the Rimmel Super Curler by itself, but I always feel like false eyelashes complete the look so much better.
Step 14: Red lips! I feel like this would be everybody’s number one choice when doing a Christmas glam makeup look, but of course you can pretty much go for any lipstick you’d like – the eyeshadows used go well with a lot of different lip colors. I used a normal lipstick (Amazing Lipstick by Makeup Revolution in ‘Lady‘) for this look, but if you want a nice red that lasts forever, I really recommend the Rimmel Provocalips.
And that’s it – ready to have fun now! 🙂
I really hope that you enjoyed my take on a classic Christmas glam makeup look 🙂 I’d love to hear what makeup you prefer to wear during the holidays – do you go for something classy, or do you enjoy playing around with colors?
