Easter Makeup and Hair Idea ♡

Hey there beauties! Today I have a super easy makeup & hair video 🙂 Happy Easter! xo
If you’re interested in seeing what I did, you can either watch the YouTube video below or keep reading this post for step by step details 🙂

Okay so I decided to keep the makeup quite simple and wearable. I started by applying a campagne color all over my lid and around the tearduct area to make my eyes appear bigger and brighter.
Then I took a somewhat cool-toned brown from my 88 eyeshadows palette and I applied that in my crease and on my lower lash line.
I took my gel eyeliner and I lined my waterline. To get more of a cat eye effect, I started by applying the gel from the outer half of my lower lash line to the outer corner of my eye and then I created a wing as usual.

Next I took a darker cool toned brown eyeshadow on to a pencil brush and I applied that starting from where my wing ends towards the center of the crease and then on the bottom lash line to smudge out the eyeliner a little bit. I went back to the first brown eyeshadow that I used to make sure that everything is well blended together. Also, I applied a white eyeshadow on my browbone to highlight it a little bit.
I curled my lashes, applied mascara and also popped some falsies – you can skip this step if you want, but I wanted to try out a new pair so I thought it was the perfect opportunity, especially since the lashes were quite natural looking too.
For this look I decided to go for red lips 🙂 I started by lining them first and then I applied a Sunkissed cosmetics lipstick – went for this one because it’s not as glossy or as opaque as my Makeup Revolution one, as I said I was trying to keep things rather natural 😀

I am a beginner when it comes to hairstyles… I would usually throw a few curls on special occasions and I am good to go, but for this look I decided to try something different.
I started by back combing my hair, focusing more on the back & sides than on the front of my head. I’ve seen that braids are quite trendy so I choose a hairstyle that’s easy & quick to (re)create – I grabed a chunk of hair from behind my left ear and started braiding. I am pretty sure you know how to braid by now, if not there are lots of tutorials on the Internet which explain what to do better than ever could. Once I finished braiding I pinned it to the other side of my head.. not sure if this makes sense, but I think you can understand what I mean by looking at the picture.
Then I repeated the same step on the right side of my head – grab hair, braid, bobbi pin it behind the left ear.
I like how this looks like I’m having a headband or something on, especially since my hair has different hues of blonde 🙂
And that’s basically it… just style to your liking (e.g. mess around with your bangs, back comb some more, add accessories etc.) and add some hair spray if you want 🙂

Let me know what you think about this look! And Happy Easter!!
