Hello there loves! Today I have a more natural makeup, pretty fresh and glowy for summer time 🙂 Aaaand with a pop of green to make my brown eyes stand out a bit more hehe ♡ Enjoy
If you’d like to see how I got this look, you can keep on reading this post for step by step details or watch the YouTube video below! 🙂
To start off this makeup, I have done my usual face routine, primed my eyes and then I applied a pinkish beige eyeshadow on my lid and in my crease. I wanted to use this color because it’s pretty similar to my skin tone and therefore I find that it looks a bit more fresh and natural than the browns I usually use as transition colors.
Next I took a pinkish champagne eyeshadow and popped that on my lid, inner corner and browbone. I used a brush at first, but I felt like it’s not picking up all the sparkles/glitter of the eyeshadow so I also used my ring finger to get more product on my lid. Then I went back to the brush that I used to apply the beige eyeshadow with and I made sure that there is no obvious transition between the two colors.
I skipped the black eyeliner for this makeup (wow, that almost never happens haha!) and decided to use a brown one to line my eyes instead. I know there are a lot of people who like natural looks, especially for summer time, so I tried to go out of my comfort zone for once.
On my lower lashline I used a turqoise-green eyeliner on the outer half and also applied that on my waterline. Then I smudged some green eyeshadow across the lower lash line for that nice pop of color :).
I may have given up the black liners for this look (only) but I couldn’t stay away from getting loads of lashes – curled them and then applied three coats of mascara (I feel like curling takes away my length, so had to make up for it). Of course, since this is a more natural look, I also skipped applying false lashes.
On my cheeks I applied a pink blush that has tiny bits of glitter on it. I wanted to focus more on the highlighters for this look, as I find that glowy/dewy skin looks quite okay during summertime. Therefore, first I used that champagne eyeshadow that I used on my eyes earlier to give my cheeks a little bit of glow, as well as cupid’s bow, forehead and bridge of my nose. Then I went in with another highlighter, this time brighter and more pigmented. Love the result!
Lastly… lips. I almost always use nudes or pinks in my tutorials, so this time I decided to (re)bring one of my fave lipsticks as of lately (Click for My Top 5 Favorite Lipsticks for Spring&Summer) back on camera – a bright orange-y red lipstick that goes perfectly with the look and weather outside!
And that’s all 🙂 I am looking forwards to hearing your thoughts!
