Get Ready With Me: New Year`s Eve

Hi there! Here’s a glam and sexy makeup look for a New Year’s Eve party πŸ™‚ This get ready with me is a collab with my lovely friend Andrame04 β™‘ The link to her video will be at the bottom of this post, so for now if you wanna see how I got this look then you can watch the YouTube video or keep reading this post foe step by step tutorial. Enjoy

Okay so the first thing I did was apply some duct tape around my eyes and then apply a tiny bit of my Rimmel London Wake me Up concealer on my lids and blended that out so my eyeshadows will have something to stick to (yes, I am too cheap to buy a primer).
Then I took a taupe eyeshadow from my Makeup Revolution Iconic 2 palette and applied that as a transition color.

Afterwards I took a golden eyeshadow from the same palette and I applied it all over the lid. My brush was a bit wet and I love how pigmented this came out, lol. I applied that eyeshadow on the inner half of my lower lash line as well :).
Next I applied a light purple eyeshadow on the center of my lid using a fluffy brush. If you watched the video, this brush was quite wet as well, that’s why it looks funny o.o At first the eyeshadow didn’t come out very bright, but after more layers it looked beautiful πŸ™‚
If you’ve seen my previous makeup looks then you know that I am not very crazy about soft, natural or wearable looks (unless I am lazy) so I had to darken up this look a bit more. I took a darker purple eyeshadow from the Go to Hell palette (Makeup Revolution) and I blended that closer to the outter lid area.
But it was a little bit too dark for what I had in mind so I went back to the first lilac-y purple eyeshadow and I blended the 2 colors together.
The next thing I did was line my tight&waterline as well as smudge that black eyeliner on my lower lash line.
For more smokeyness and darkness, I took a sparkly black eyeshadow and I smudged out the eyeliner even more. And I also applied that black eyeshadow on the outter V πŸ™‚
Go back to your fluffy blending brush and make sure there are no harsh lines and the black blends into the purple nicely πŸ™‚ Take your time with this step, as black isn’t very easy to blend out, lol.
Afterwards I went back to the first blending brush that I used to apply the taupe eyeshadow with and I made sure everything was nice as smooth. Take some more of the taupe eyeshadow on your brush if you feel like you need to πŸ™‚ And also reapply the golden on your inner corner if it lost intensity.
Then I took a break from the eye makeup and did my foundation. Since this is a collab, I did my foundation routine on camera this time. I would usually just leave a link to the video but I figured what the heck, I’ll just go ahead and write a few lines about it.
So I removed the duct taped and I mixed my Rimmel Stay Matte Mousse foundationΒ with a crappy one from Rapsodi and I applied that on my face. Then I used my Rimmel concealer again to hide my dark circles a little bit better as well as highlight my face a little and fix any mistakes I made on the lower lash line (when I blended I kinda swiped the brush all over my face, LOL).
To set these products I used a powder from my Lancome palette and then I used a Makeup Revolution blush & contour palette to bronze, contour, blush and highlight my face. For my brows I first went in with a brown eyeliner and then some brown&gray eyeshadows mixed together.
Back to the eyes now πŸ™‚ I felt like I had to reapply that golden eyeshadow and that’s what I did. I also highlighted my browbone since I forgot to do it earlier.
I lined my eyes using a liqued eyeliner and I tried going for a quite big wing (it didn’t come out so dramatic in my opinion, but I like it hehe).
I usually do two coats of mascara on the top lashes and only one on the bottom but this time I decided to mix things up (my brain was literally not working, but that should happen more often haha! I am obsessed with how this look came out). Back on topic. What was I saying? Oh yeah. This time I only applied one coat of mascara on my top lashes and two coats on the bottom. I figured that I’ll apply falsies so I would spare myself from the struggle to remove a crap load of mascara from my lashes later on. Falsies are totally up to you though – if you want to use some, then go ahead. If not, then just use lots and lots of mascara πŸ™‚
Lastly was time for my lips. I wiped off whatever lipbalm and foundation I had on them and then I applied a pinky nude lipstick. My lips weren’t as good as I wanted them though so I went ahead and applied a pinkish lip gloss on top too πŸ™‚

And that’s it for this makeup look πŸ™‚ I hope you guys like it just as much as I enjoyed doing it (at least I think I enjoyed it, I can’t remember much from that night hahaha).
