Hey there beautiful,
Today I have a Kendall Jenner inspired makeup look… I’ve seen this picture on her Instagram and I was like ‘wow, that’s so pretty and sultry!’ and I knew I had to try it. I was mostly inspired to recreate the eye makeup. She looks like she has a green smokey eye with a pop of golden in the middle of the lid, and this is my take on it 🙂 I know I look nothing like Kendall Jenner – and my style is very different to her fresh, youthful and innocent looks – but I love how this makeup came out! I hope you like it as well 🙂 x
If you wanna see how I achieved this look you can watch the YouTube tutorial above or keep on reading this post for step by step details 🙂 As I said earlier, this is just my personal take on it, I know we look very different have different makeup preferences as well, but I was too inspired by her picture not to give this look a go.
Step 1: Flawless base: I rediscovered my love for the Rimmel London 25HR Lasting Finish foundation and I thought it would go really nice for this look. I did my skin care before sitting down to do my makeup, and I just used my moisturizer instead of a primer.
Step 2: I’ve said this plenty of times before, ever since I tried out the Primark / P.S. Love… Undereye Concealer I am forever hooked! It does such a good job on my under eyes.
Step 3: Powder. Again, another Primark beauty item, their loose powder. I use it both for baking and for setting my face.
Step 4: Eyebrows! If you’re new here, hi! I’m Denisa and I always thank my 16 years-old self for messing up my brows. I usually go in with pencil, powder and lately the L’oreal Brow Plumper to make my eyebrows look somewhat decent (hug yourself everytime I said brows).
Step 5: Bronzing and contouring. I recently picked up the Boots/Seventeen Define & Conquer contour kit, and I wanted to see how it would look on camera too.
Step 6: I skipped my blush and instead I tried another item from Seventeen, their Instant Glow Shimmer Brick. I used the 2 bottom shades instead of blusher and the top two to highlight my cheekbones.
Step 7: Time to get this awesome Kendall Jenner inspired eye makeup done! I started by applying a cool toned soft eyeshadow as a transition color. I only used the Makeup Revolution 144 eyeshadow palette for this look, and I will reference which row is each eyeshadow from in case you want to recreate the look 🙂 This eyeshadow is the 3rd one on row 6.
Step 8: I used a somewhat soft green shadow lower in my crease to make blending a bit easier later on (10th shadow on row 8).
Step 9: Green all over the lid: in her Instagram picture, Kendall Jenner seems to have a greenish smokey eye with a pop of golden in the center of the lid. So I used that lovely dark green eyeshadow from the 7th row of the Makeup Revolution 144 eyeshadow palette and blended it in well with the rest of the colors. I also popped that color on the lower lash line.
Step 10: I wasn’t sure what golden eyeshadow to use in the center, so I just went for a medium gold from the 7th row of the palette.
Step 11: This is where I did my own thing again (but then again you can’t really tell whether or not she’s got a winged eyeliner). I winged out my eyeliner and thankfully she had black in her tight and waterline – yay!
Step 12: Mascara, and we’re almost done! I wasn’t really sure if she’s got falsies on or not, but I recently ordered some Red Cherry dupes from Ebay and I was eager to try them on!
Step 13: Last but not least, lips. For some reason I thought that my Rimmel Provocalips in Skinny Dipping would be a good match, but looking back I think I could have chosen a color that is closer to what Kendall Jenner had on. Oh well, still love how my makeup came out!
Let me know what you think about this look 🙂 Would you wear anything like this? Looking forwards to hearing your thoughts!
Thank you for stopping by!
