Hi loves! Today I decided that it’s finally time to play around with my purple lipstick that I got a few weeks ago (click to see swatches&review of the lipsticks I got) so I have a gold & brown/bronzy eye makeup tutorial that goes really nice with this lip color 😀 I hope you like it!
Check out my YouTube video or keep reading this post if you wanna see how I got this look 🙂 xx
Okay so I did my foundation, concealer, powder and brows off camera and then I skipped to the eye makeup.
I went for a bronzy brown eyeshadow in the crease and I blended that all the way towards my browbone. I added a little bit more in the very crease for more dimension&definition and for more darkness as well, since that’s what I usually like going for :).
Then on my lid I wanted to apply a very pale golden eyeshadow from a Sunkissed cosmetics quad but it wasn’t really showing up as I wanted it to so on top of that I added a bronze/highlight shade from my Makeup Revolution Blush&Contour palette. I blended the two (well, three) colors together so that there would be no harsh lines.
I lined my eyes using a black gel liner and this time I used a different brush for the outter part as I was thinking about smudging it out a bit but in the end I didn’t go for that..
I also applied a black eyeliner in my waterline and then took a dark grayish/black on a very small angled brush and lined my lower lash line some more.
Underneath I applied a very dark and shimmery purple eyeshadow and then another shade of purple from another Sunkissed quad. I also highlighted my browbone a little bit.
Next I used lots of mascara to get me some really long and dramatic and beautiful lashes as I didn’t really feel like adding falsies.
Back to the face now. I bronzed, applied blush, contoured my cheeks & nose and then I highlighted the high points of my face using my Blush&Contour palette from Makeup Revolution.
I wiped off whatever was on my lips and then I lined them with a dark pink liner (not sure why, lol). And then I applied the lipstick that I’ve been wanting to use for weeks, Depraved by Makeup Revolution – such a beautiful purple, and I feel like it went perfectly with this makeup (I wasn’t very sure what to do in order to be able to pull it off, lol).
And I think that’s all! 🙂
