My thoughts on the Maybelline 24HR Color Tattoo (number/shade 60-Timeless Black)

Hi there! So I’ve been wanting to write about this product for a while but for some reason I never got around to doing it . So as you can tell from the title today I am going to share my thoughts on the Maybelline 24HR Color Tattoo. I’m currently using the one that’s in the number/shade 60-Timeless Black.

Now before I start writing the review I want to mention that on the back it says “Gel – Cream Eyeshadow”. I have been using it as a gel eyeliner, even though I have seen seen people apply these as an eyeshadow base.
Okay so let’s see what is my opinion after 2 months of using this (almost) every day 🙂
For Pros I will use the color green and for Con’s I will use red. That way it might be easier for you to read. ♡ Pros ♡Cons ♡Randomness

I need to start by saying that this is not the blackest black eyeliner I could have ever bought. It can work for these of you who don’t like your eyeliner to stand out that much, but it’s certainly not my thing.
♡ Recently I started using a black eyeshadow on top of it to make it more opaque. Still can’t get the blackest black line, but it looks a little bit darker in my opinion.
It is buildable but not to the intensity I want to get.
It is pretty long lasting. I am the kind of person who touches her face and rubs her eyes quite often and apart from my inner corner area (which gets quite watery sometimes) I didn’t notice it wearing off.
♡ A little goes quite a long way so no matter if you use it on a daily basis or not, it should last you for a while.
♡ If you have sensitive eyes avoid applying this in your waterline. I’ve seen people apply gel liners in their waterline and I wanted to try it as well but I couldn’t resist for more than two seconds. Had to remove it right away.
♡ It does not transfer into your crease.

I’m not going to upload pictures here, but you can totally check out my YouTube channel and see how this looks on camera 🙂 Even though in real life it’s not the most intense black liner I have ever used, it looks pretty good in videos and photos. Click here to check out my Makeup Looks playlist.

So these were my thoughts. Will I continue using this? Yes. Would I ever buy it again? Nope. I feel that for $10 (that’s the price I got it for, from Douglas) you can find a better alternative. It’s a decent eyeliner but I’m pretty sure you can find something better around this price.
I’d like you to to be aware that even though I am not 100% pleased with this product, you should do your research before deciding whether you want to buy it or not. If I didn’t get the results I was hoping for it doesn’t mean that it’s an awful product. Besides, to my knowing Maybelline is not cruelty free so if you are against animal testing then you might consider looking for another gel/cream eyeliner.

Okay so this is what I have to say about the Maybelline 24HR Color Tattoo in Timeless Black. Nothing else crosses my mind, but if you have any questions then do not hesitate to ask me!
Have a wonderful day!
