Playing with Makeup ♡ Grey Lips & Green Smokey Eye

Hello beauties! Gray lips was something I wanted to try for quite a while now and I finally decided to play around it! Paired my grey lips with a green smokey, not your “everyday wearable” look, but I love the outcome! ♡
If you’d like to see how I got this look then you can watch the YouTube video below or keep on reading this post for a step by step tutorial! xo

Okay so I started by applying a beige eyeshadow that’s pretty close to my skin tone as a transition color. Since I decided to use quite bold shadows for this look, the beige is going to help me blend easier later on :).
Then I took my Maybelline Color Tattoo in black and applied that on the outter 2/3s of my lid. You can skip this step if you’d like, but I kept hearing LustreLux saying that a black base underneath a purple, green or blue eyeshadow will make the color pop even more so I wanted to try it out. Oh boy, the green eyeshadow (‘On a Mission’ from my Colour Chaos palette) that I applied next totally stood out way more than by itself!
Next I applied a darker green (‘Deliver me’ from the same palette) on the outer corner and blended that into the green and beige that I already had in order to give my eyes some more dimension. I also applied these eyeshadows on my lower lash line 🙂 Without the black base though.
Afterwards I applied ‘Gleam’ as a inner corner and browbone highlight and I moved on to eyeliner – as usual: black in the tight and waterline, then a somewhat bold wing created with my liquid liner.

Lastly, I applied some mascara and of course went for some falsies too 🙂 Tried out a new style from P.S. Love… this time, and I quite liked them – made my eyes look very doll-like in my opinion hehe.

Aaaand now for my favorite part of this look – the grey lips!
I saw a while ago that a black lipstick mixed with a peachy-pinky nude on top would end up in a grayish color. I don’t have a black lipstick (just a very dark purple one, which wouldn’t have done the trick) so I just went ahead and applied that Color Tattoo on my lips. And I topped that with ‘Divine’ from Makeup Revolution – such a nice gray lip color!! It did make my teeth look more yellow than they already are, but I seriously love the color though!

And that’s pretty much all for this look 🙂 Looking forwards to hearing your thoughts!
