Hey there beauty,
Today I have a short haul to share with you! I went shopping the other day and I decided to get my hands on some liquid lipsticks I’ve been wanting to try for a while. After all, I’m in the process of switching to using liquid lipsticks only, so it’s about time to diversify my collection. I also got myself a new concealer from Primark’s beauty range, as I am slowly running out of mine.
I first stopped at Superdrug to check out the MUA Velvet Lip Lacquers. I heard some good things about them, they are really affordable (£3 each) and they recently came out with a few more shades – which of course I was able get only one of the new colors due to low stock on the Makeup Academy stand. But then again I am really happy with the three colors I picked: Zest, Tranquility and Dash (one of the new colors). Click here for a review on them.
Next stop was H&M. I wanted to check out their Velvet Lip Creams (£6.99) for a while now but I never got around to buying one before. I first swatched a nude but they didn’t have any in stock so I chose Pep Talk, a vibrant lovely pink shade that makes me feel all excited for spring & summer. If you’ve read my New Look/Pure Colour haul & reviews post from a few months ago, then you probably remember that at first I was not impressed with their Matte Liquid Lip Colour in Mink. The shade was a bit pale for me but when I finally managed to wear and pretty much rock it a few days ago (this look here) I fell in love with the long-lasting transfer proof formula. So I decided to get another one: shade 75 | Sweet Rose (£3.99) is a lovely and really wearable pink that will suit most of the makeup looks I go. I feel like I’ve gone through a mauve and gray/cool tones for the past few months, and now I am starting to be all about pinks again.
The last item in my short haul is the Primark/P.S. Love… Under eye concealer in the shade Natural. I’ve used this concealer in shade Ivory for a few months now and it’s became my favorite – check out the review to see how amazing it works! However this is probably the 3rd time I popped into Primark and they didn’t have Ivory in stock… only ‘Tan’ which I use for cream contouring (I hauled this here) and luckily I was able to find one last concealer in the shade ‘Natural’. I figured I’d be able to pull it off, and even if it’s too dark I can wear it under my foundation and then just use something else to highlight a little bit. Well, the concealer is
pretty much full on orange. But the formula is still great, so until I am able to get my hands on Ivory again (and buy like 10 back ups) I will just rock this with foundation on top. This is really affordable as well: regular price is £1.50 but it was down to £1!
And that’s all for my short haul 🙂 Where have you been shopping lately? Also, what liquid lipsticks/laquers do you recommend I check out next? Would love to hear your thoughts!
Thank you for stopping by!
