I love wearing a champagne and blue eyeshadow combo in the winter time, especially around Christmas! I feel like it looks really glam and festive, while it’s also different from all the gold & warm toned looks.
Today I want to try something different and narrow everything I do down to a few steps, rather than writing long stories about each thing I apply and why. So without further ado, I will go ahead and tell you how I got this look!
Step 1: Prime your eyes and set them with a creamy-white shadow to make sure the colors you apply next will appear brighter.
Step 2: Apply a very soft purple shadow in the crease. It looks more natural and it blends in with the blue a bit easier than brown does!
Step 3: Pack on a champagne eyeshadow on the lid! When I was thinking of a Christmas makeup idea, I had gold in mind, but then I wanted to do something different, and since blue&champagne shadows look great together, that’s what I decided to go for. For this look I used a baked eyeshadow which I recently bought from New Look’s makeup range, ‘Pure Colour’.
Step 4: Pack on a blue eyeshadow on the outer corner of your eye and then using a blending brush diffuse the color into the crease. Keep in mind: it’s always better to build up the color and go little by little.
Step 5: Smudge a black eyeshadow under the lower lashes and use the first creamy shadow to blend it out a bit more.
Step 6: Highlight the brow bone and inner corner. I used the same baked eyeshadow, but you can choose to go for a different/lighter color.
Step 7: Do your usual eyeliner and mascara routine. For me that is winged liner, loads of mascara and falsies.
Step 8 (Optional): Deepen up that blue eyeshadow a bit more. Blue mixed with the tiniest bit of black/dark gray should come out more pigmented and vibrant.
Step 9: Lips! I feel like you can pair the look with quite a few different lip combos, but I wanted to try something new and used the Gerard Cosmetics Hydra Matte Liquid Lipstick in ‘Invasion’.
And that’s it for my Winter/Christmas Makeup Idea 🙂 I hope you guys like how this makeup came out just as much as I do! Let me know what kind of looks/colors you like wearing around this time of the year!
Also, I’d love to hear your thoughts on explaining the look step by step rather than writing long paragraphs about it.
If you’d prefer watching a tutorial rather than reading, I also have a YouTube video on this Christmas makeup idea! Check it out 🙂
